<p>Sustainable Seattle (S2) is a nonprofit founded in 1991 that works to ensure those at the frontlines of climate and environmental injustice have equitable access to resources to build healthy, safe, and regenerative communities of self-determination. S2's Indicators for a Sustainable Community were emulated by over 90 cities and recognized by the United Nations. Today, the organization centers BIPOC and QT2SBIPOC leadership through three core programs: Interweave, an interdisciplinary sustainability accelerator providing fiscal sponsorship and capacity building to 18 frontline-led projects; the Soil Health and Justice Initiative; and the Just Circular Communities Initiative, a community-led circular economy framework.</p>
