Regenerate Cascadia is a program of the Department of Bioregion, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 85-4402939). This policy explains what information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Questions: brandon@regeneratecascadia.org, or write to Regenerate Cascadia, 11642 103rd Ave SW, Vashon, WA 98070.

What we collect

  • Account and profile information. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and password. You may add a home landscape, interests, skills, a biography, a photo, and an address. Some profile information appears in the member directory, which is visible only to signed-in members.
  • Donations. If you give, we receive your name, email address, mailing address, gift amount, and any note you add. Payments are handled by our payment processors, including Stripe. Card numbers go to the processor and are not stored on our servers.
  • Forms and messages. When you register for a program, apply to start a group, submit an event or post, or contact us, we collect what you enter in the form.
  • Newsletter. If you subscribe, we store your email address with our email provider, Mailchimp, so we can send you updates. Every message includes a way to unsubscribe.
  • Technical information. Our hosting provider and security tools keep standard logs, such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, to run and protect the site.

How we use it

  • To run our programs, groups, and events, and to respond to you.
  • To process donations, send receipts, and keep the financial records the law requires.
  • To send the updates you asked for.
  • To keep the site secure and working.
