<p>Lost Valley Education Center is a nonprofit ecovillage and learning center on 87 acres of forested land in Dexter, Oregon, approximately 18 miles southeast of Eugene. Founded in 1989, Lost Valley educates youth and adults in the practical application of sustainable living skills through a holistic approach that integrates ecological, social, and personal growth. Programs include Permaculture Design Certification courses, a Holistic Sustainability Semester, Social Forestry Camps, and three-month immersive internships in land stewardship, cooperative governance, and regenerative agriculture. The center is home to Meadowsong Ecovillage, an intentional community guided by sociocratic governance and nonviolent communication. Lost Valley is one of the oldest permaculture sites and ecovillages in the United States.</p>
