On July 30, the South Willamette Valley Landscape submitted a letter of inquiry to The Rising Foundation seeking $20,000 to launch a one-year planning initiative connecting education, community organizations, and employers across the region into a shared regenerative learning ecosystem.

On July 17, Regenerate Whatcom hosted the first bioregional mapping workshop by any Regenerate Cascadia landscape group, bringing two dozen residents of the Nooksack watershed together at Rome Grange. On Friday August 28, the group gathers at Inspiration Farm to harvest what those maps surfaced.

At its July 25 meeting, Regenerate Vashon set a date for the island’s bioregional mapping workshop, heard a full debrief of Whatcom’s, and started mapping how a 501(c)(3) and the Vashon-Maury Community Council can do things together that neither can do alone.
