About This Resource

The inaugural session of r3.0's Bioregional Open Dialogue series explores the roots of bioregionalism through conversation with key figures from the movement's first wave. Presenters include Ana Ruiz Diaz and Laura Kuri, who helped organize the first North American Bioregional Congress in Mexico in the 1980s, David Haenke, who coordinated the Ozark Area Community Congress and the first Continental Bioregional Congress in 1984, and Tad Montgomery. The session focuses on the pivotal role played by Continental Bioregional Congresses in growing the movement from the 1970s onward.

This session is part of r3.0's Open Dialogues on Bioregioning series. For more information, visit r3.0 Open Dialogues on Bioregioning.
