r3.0 (Redesign for Resilience and Regeneration)
The fourth r3.0 Bioregional Open Dialogue explores bioregioning work in Australia through diverse lenses. Michelle Maloney introduces the landscape of non-Indigenous place-based and bioregional work in Australia, focusing on the efforts of the Australian Earth Laws Alliance to advocate for bioregioning. Mary Graham, a Kombu-merri political scientist and philosopher from the Yugambeh Language Speaking Peoples, discusses the Relationalist Ethos and Aboriginal governance systems, among the oldest bioregional systems of governance in the world. Kiran Kashyap of Regen Sydney shifts the focus to neighborhood and city scales, describing how bioregional approaches are integrated into participatory urban movements.
