Zero Waste Vashon

<p>Zero Waste Vashon (ZWV) is a community-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2014, dedicated to education and research in support of waste stream conversion on Vashon-Maury Island. Working in partnership with King County, ZWV pursues practical ways to recycle waste into useful products. Programs include annual electronics recycling events, the Dish Library for reusable event dishware, Fix-It Cafes, the Choose Plastic Free campaign, and ongoing feasibility work for a community-scale composting facility. ZWV also sponsors the Jerry Henley Scholarship for students pursuing environmental studies.</p>
