Wolf Willow Institute
Positive Deviants Cascadia is a place-based fellowship from the Wolf Willow Institute for systems leaders committed to cultural transformation. The program runs from May 2026 through July 2027 and is rooted in the Salish Sea bioregion. It includes four in-person retreats (primarily near Victoria, BC), five online sessions, personal coaching, and optional electives.
The fellowship combines inner development work with systems leadership practice. Participants explore complexity science, relational leadership, ecological connection, and what the program calls "systems artistry." Wolf Willow describes the fellowship as a cross between a graduate course in complexity leadership, a practice dojo, and a community of inquiry.
Positive Deviants Cascadia represents a shift from the program's earlier trans-local format toward deeper place-based engagement. The goal is to support the emergence of "communities of coherence," or networks of aligned practitioners committed to the long work of cultural adaptation in the Cascadia bioregion.
Core faculty include Tuesday and Gibran Rivera, Julian Norris, Laura Blakeman, Pravin Pillay, and Zhiish McKenzie.
Wolf Willow seeks established systems leaders and changemakers whose work addresses issues of critical concern. There are no formal academic requirements. The selection process prioritizes personal qualities, commitment to place, and capacity for systemic impact. Priority is given to applicants within the Salish Sea bioregion who can attend in-person gatherings in Victoria, BC without flying.
