South Willamette Valley Seeks Funding for a Regenerative Education Network

On July 30, the South Willamette Valley Landscape submitted a letter of inquiry to The Rising Foundation seeking $20,000 to launch a one-year planning initiative connecting education, community organizations, and employers across the region into a shared regenerative learning ecosystem.

Canoes in Our Waters: Paddle to Nisqually Passes Vashon

More than a hundred canoes are moving down the Salish Sea for the 2026 Paddle to Nisqually Medicine Creek Potlatch. This week they were hosted at Suquamish and at Puyallup, and the leg between them ran the length of Vashon and Maury.
