🌍 A Global Classroom for Planetary Regeneration

In this recent presentation hosted by the Design School for Regenerating Earth, members of the Regenerate Cascadia movement shared their approach to bioregional organizing, storytelling, and on-the-ground action. The talkβ€”now available to watch onlineβ€”offered an inspiring and informative overview of how the Cascadia bioregion is mobilizing communities through deep, place-based work.

🌱 The Bioregion Landscapes Program

This session was part of the Design School’s Bioregion Landscapes Program, a yearlong learning journey exploring practical tools, frameworks, and fieldwork needed to regenerate whole landscapes and regions. The program brings together bioregional leaders from around the world, offering real-world examples of how communities are stewarding land, culture, and governance in ways that reflect the living systems they call home.

🌊 The Regenerate Cascadia Approach

In the presentation, speakers highlighted how the movement weaves together ecology, economy, and cultureβ€”drawing on decades of organizing, from Indigenous stewardship and permaculture education to decentralized finance, digital infrastructure, and co-governance models. The presentation illuminated how Regenerate Cascadia is emerging as a network of networks, bridging efforts across political borders and watershed boundaries to grow bioregional identity, coordination, and resilience.

πŸ› οΈ What Is the Design School for Regenerating Earth?

The Design School for Regenerating Earth was co-created by Daniel Christian Wahl, Joe Brewer, and a global team of collaborators. It’s not just a schoolβ€”it’s a living ecosystem of learning, a global community asking:

β€œWhat does it take to regenerate the planet, one bioregion at a time?”

Through online cohorts, mentorship, and hands-on learning, the Design School is helping people everywhere build the capacity to become regenerative stewards of their own places.
