The Global Earth Repair Convergence gathered more than 500 in-person participants and thousands more online from May 7 through May 11, 2026, at Fort Worden State Park on the Olympic Peninsula. Organized by the Global Earth Repair Foundation and United Earth Networks with fiscal sponsorship from the Eco Restoration Alliance and the Buckminster Fuller Institute, the five-day event brought together practitioners, educators, and community leaders focused on ecological restoration and regenerative practices.
The convergence featured over 120 presenters across ten thematic tracks: Regenerative Agriculture, Forests, Oceans, Fungi, Water, Indigenous Leadership, Permaculture, New Economics, Art/Music/Ceremony, and Community and Governance. This diverse programming reflected the breadth of disciplines and approaches necessary for comprehensive earth repair work. Participants engaged through field trips, hands-on workshops, evening keynotes, and working groups designed to bridge learning and direct action.
The event’s structure supported both depth and breadth of engagement. Thursday opened with field trips and an opening gala at Finnriver Farm and Cidery, establishing community and connection. Friday through Sunday offered concurrent sessions across all tracks, allowing participants to dive deeply into specific areas of interest and expertise. The convergence concluded on Monday with final sessions and a field trip into the Olympic Rainforest, grounding the five days of learning in the living systems participants came to serve.
Regenerate Cascadia participated as a collaborator in the convergence, with several landscape stewards and team members presenting and attending. This participation connected regional regenerative work to the broader global movement for earth repair and restoration. The event demonstrated the value of bringing together diverse practitioners around shared ecological principles and community-focused action.
Registration remained open for both in-person and online participation, with scholarships, work-trade, and volunteer positions available to increase accessibility. The convergence created space for participants to move from learning to action through intentional programming that culminated in a closing circle dedicated to implementation and next steps.
