The eleventh Turtle Island Bioregional Congress convenes September 15 to 19, 2026 in Vernonia, Oregon, in Cascadia.

TIBC 11 builds on five decades of bioregional organizing and ten earlier continental congresses across North America between 1984 and 2009. This gathering rekindles a tradition of learning in place, celebrating our cultures, and coordinating for long-term regeneration.

The purpose of the Congress is to amplify the wave of bioregional organizing across the continent: community resilience, Indigenous leadership, local self-governance, climate action, ecological regeneration, and a flourishing future for all life. What happens here sets the stage for place-based work in the years ahead.
