Regenerate Cascadia is looking for its next Community Steward. The position is a part-time, remote contractor role supporting the Landscape Hub Cultivator program and the growing network of landscape groups across the Cascadia bioregion.

The Community Steward works directly with landscape groups, supporting coordination, communications, and community infrastructure as the program moves into its second phase. The role reports to Taya Seidler, Clare Attwell, and Brandon Letsinger, and runs through October 2026 at 20 hours per week ($30/hour, 1099 contract).

What the Role Involves

The Community Steward supports the daily operations of Regenerate Cascadia’s BioRegen program. This includes facilitating and documenting online meetings, managing communications across multiple platforms, onboarding participants, organizing recordings and resources, and serving as a consistent point of contact for landscape stewards.

The role requires fluency in Google Workspace, comfort with Mighty Networks and Zoom, and familiarity with YouTube Studio for recording management. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently across multiple groups and timelines.

A Three-Stage Hiring Process

The hiring process is designed to respect applicants’ time while assessing practical skills, communication quality, and alignment with the work. Stage one is an application with a cover letter, resume, and screening questions. Stage two is a work sample exercise, provided to advancing applicants with a 48-hour window. Stage three is a one-hour video conversation to discuss the role and explore alignment.
