Jossyellen Becher

My name is Jossyellen Becher, and I am currently part of the coordination team at Instituto Sinal do Vale, an NGO that has been pioneering initiatives in ecosystem and community regeneration since 2011. Located in Xerém, Duque de Caxias, Rio de Janeiro, the institute spans 200 hectares of Atlantic Forest and is dedicated to fostering sustainable development through entrepreneurship, education, and socio-environmental projects. My role centers around building resilient food systems and advancing agroecological practices within the local communities.
My passion for environmental regeneration and sustainable food production fuels my drive to contribute meaningfully to these fields. Through my academic and professional experiences, I am committed to developing systems that can address the socio-environmental challenges facing rural communities while promoting biodiversity conservation and sustainable livelihoods.
