Landscapes Showcase Presentations

Feb 5 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Event Series (See All)

In service to core principles of bioregionalism

On February 5th and 6th, ten Landscape Groups, 5 each day, will participate in a showcase to tell stories of their regenerative work in their respective landscapes, you will be introduced to the diverse landscapes and Landscape Groups Regenerate Cascadia is working closely with in our year-long Landscape Hub Cultivator pilot!

The 10 Landscape Groups being showcased represent three ecoregions within the large bioregion of Cascadia. You’ll learn about unique local landscape contexts in both Canada and the United States from Greater Victoria, Fraser Lowland, Whatcom, Mt Olympus / Olympic Peninsula, Skagit River Valley, Whidbey Island, Vashon Island, Duwamish River Valley, the Gorge and South Willamette Valley.

Each group will have an opportunity to offer insights:

  • Demonstrate a bioregional approach – a whole system lens that uses storytelling as a primary vehicle for honoring history, existing work, and helping people to ‘see’ themselves within the work.
  • Honor local sovereignty by showcasing individual landscapes, groups, and existing work/relationships.

This is an opportunity to learn what’s taking shape across the region, deepen relationships across the network, explore pathways for ongoing collaboration and support, and continue to build strong foundations for BioFi to flow into local Cascadian landscapes as part of a coordinated bioregional approach.

This event is for you if you are aligned with bioregional regeneration, landscape-scale coordination, implementation partners, resource mobilization, and systemic impact investing—we encourage you to forward this invitation!
