Supporting Bioregional Regeneration in the Willamette Valley

We’re excited to share that Regenerate Cascadia has officially submitted a grant application to the Meyer Memorial Trust in support of our growing efforts to support bioregional movement in the Willamette Valley!

🌱 About the Grant Opportunity

The grant was submitted through Meyer’s “Our Resilient Places” program, which supports projects that build power with frontline communities through environmental justice, community organizing, and regenerative development.

🔍 What We Applied For

We requested funds to support the launch of the BioRegen Landscape Hub Cultivator Program in the Willamette Valley, with the goal of building two fully operational hubs—one in the North, one in the South.

The program includes:

  • Community mapping and regeneration planning workshops
  • Stipends for local ambassadors representing BIPOC, Indigenous, LGBTQ+, and rural communities
  • Microgrants for grassroots projects (aka “flow funding”)
  • The creation of community-endorsed regeneration plans
  • Building a coalition of place-based partners, with meaningful engagement across historically marginalized groups

These efforts will result in stronger community capacity, cross-sector collaboration, and long-term tools to steward land and water together.

🧭 Why This Matters

This grant supports Regenerate Cascadia’s long-term vision to restore ecological health, cultural resilience, and economic sovereignty—starting at the watershed level. It centers equity, trust-building, and shared governance in how we regenerate place.

With support from MMT, we aim to deepen connections, expand our regional infrastructure, and show what’s possible when regeneration is led by those most impacted and most invested in the future.

We’re honored to continue this work in partnership with our community—and grateful to Meyer Memorial Trust for considering our proposal.

The future is bioregional. The future is now.
