Brandon Letsinger has been accepted into the Fall 2024 cohort of the Edge Finance Accelerator. He will be representing Regenerate Cascadia as we begin to grow a Cascadia BioFi program and explore what a regenerative funding ecosystem for Cascadia is.
The Edge Finance Accelerator is a four-month immersion focused on how we transform finance and transition from the polycrisis to a regenerative and equitable economy. We will work at the intersection of learning and action—integrating the intelligences of our hands, head, and heart. You will have the opportunity to envision and prototype financial innovations through one of five Labs of your choosing, as well as develop your inner and interpersonal capacities for directing systems change in a time between worlds.
The Accelerator brings together 15 radical money movers working at the creative and transformative edges of philanthropy and investing. Finance Guides with deep expertise in the financial transition and Lab areas will accompany you on the journey. The curriculum is designed to uplift the wisdom and generative practices held within such an esteemed group of Edgewalkers, while inviting humility, novel experience, and more-than-human companions to help us navigate to a different economy and world.
Edge Finance Accelerator explores these questions important to our movement:
- Who must we become to meet this moment of poly-crisis and transition?
- How can we practice finance as a healing art?
- What adventures and challenges await on the journey to wielding money in service of all life?
- How do we know when we are creating conditions for transformation?
- How might we presence what is absent or distant—bodies, communities, the sacred—to reshape finance?
About the Edge Finance Accelerator Lab:
“This November, a new Accelerator cohort will immerse themselves and crack open five areas at the transformative edges of finance: Reparations, Rematriation, BioTopia, Conscious Closure, and Capital for the Commons. These workstreams were selected specifically for Edgewalkers and their capacity to align with the field and redirect the flow of capital as medicine. Guided by finance practitioners with deep expertise in the Lab’s thematic areas, groups will weave Accelerator learnings into ground-level interventions, instruments, and designs.”
The Accelerator is a refuge for you and your fellow Edgewalkers to explore making good trouble. Beginning with an in-person retreat in Northern California, the Accelerator is hybrid for these hybridized times of living and dying, quickening and easing, evolving and remembering. Our shared work is to align finance with its greatest potential for healing and transformation during the program and for our lives to follow.
